Patrick J.Power was born in Ballyfarnon, Co. Roscommon in 1929. The son of a garda sergeant, Patrick spent many years on the move from one barracks to another. During this time, he was introduced to an array of colourful characters which informed many of the stories in 'The End of the Honeyflow'. His childhood ended when he was awarded a scholarship for boarding school, where, in order to survive he read every book in the school library. Patrick arrived in Dublin in the 1950s, and studied in TCD at night, whilst working during the day.  It was around this time, he began submitting articles to newspapers.  Patrick married a Dublin woman, and through out his lifetime, broadcast many radio plays on RTE Radio 1 and BBC Radio 4. Sadly,  Patrick passed away in March 2021, but his family are committed to sharing their father's work with as many readers as possible.
