Always & Never

I am a Dad of three from Dublin who has had an interest in poetry from an early age. Starting with cards for my Mam or Dad growing up and moving onto poems for my kids at certain ages or stages of their lives. This led me to write 'Always & Never', my first attempt at a children's book. The idea was actually inspired by the marriage course I did before marrying my wife Aisling where we were warned to keep a close eye on our use of the words 'Always' and 'Never' as they are often said in a negative way. I then noticed as they grew that my kids said it all the time and not just them. I heard it shouted in playgrounds, shops and the pitches by other kids saying them too. It turns out everyone say 'Always and Never' and not usually in a nice way so I hope this book makes kids and adults alike think for a moment and try to use 'Always' and 'Never' in kinder ways more often
