A gripping read which keeps you engrossed in Bob’s struggle to find his way through the conflicting demands of his religious convictions and his love for Deirdre. Will he leave the religious life he has chosen and values so much and take a leap of faith into a new world that calls to his heart? The novel has a range of interesting, well-drawn characters and thoughtful set pieces and was engaging from beginning to end.

This is a great read, well written, in 1st party, giving us all an insight into the dedicated religious life of Brother Bob Whelan, and his tug of war between God & a new lady in his life. A trinity in itself that I found difficult to leave down. Really enjoyed this journey !

An extremely powerful story of a young committed monk Bob, who comes to realize that life is never linear when he has to navigate the challenge of faith, vows and love. A really interesting and intriguing insight into a unique dilemma, Bob’s story is beautifully and skilfully handled. The reader can emphasise and reflect in the process. An excellent read that offers a new untold story and perspective. Highly recommend.
