Baxter’s Boys is a dark comedy about a neglected inner-city community and a dysfunctional pub football team that might be just be their only hope! The story follows the team on and off the pitch over the course of a season as they progress in the cup while also trying to win over the local community with hilarious consequences. With trouble always on the horizon, can they keep it together long enough to win silverware?
Patrick was born in 1971 in the heart of Dublin’s Inner-City. He qualified as an Amenity Horticulturist from the National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin in 1992 and now lives in Killarney with his wife and three children. He is a referee with the FAI, something that given him plenty of material for his writing over the years! Baxter's Boys is Patrick’s debut novel. He has written and performed several short plays to date including Sam Who? (2014); Bar Flies (2018); A Fishy Tale (2019) & Bin Wars (2020). He is currently working on the screenplay for Baxter’s Boys as well as writing his second novel, a darkly comic, kidnap caper and quirky love story.
