I so thoroughly enjoyed this collection of short stories my Mary. My favourite read in a long time. So beautiful written, I was drawn into to the lives of the characters of all stories. Very relevant to current times, humor and sad at times but great stories that left me in suspense and wanting to read more.
    I highly recommend.

I loved this collection of short stories by Mary Bradford. Each one leaves you wanting more. Mary has a beautiful style of writing. Each story brings you in, not just to the characters but to their feelings, their traumas, their triumphs and desire for belonging. Mary addresses a very difficult topic of immigration with empathy and compassion, showing all sides and leaving you with a better understanding of the difficulties we all face when choosing to start a new life where many challenges can be faced and overcome.
