My name is Shauna . I am a primary school teacher based in Dublin . Throughout my teaching career I noticed that there wasn’t a lot of books on the market for young boys struggling with emotional issues . I wrote this book for any young boy that feels bad about themselves. I hope when they read about the unlikely friendship that develops between Michael and A- pal it will help them to talk about their feelings to an adult / teacher / guardian and realise that they aren’t alone and everyone can feel bad about themselves sometimes.

A brilliant book!! My son absolutely loved it – totally page turner for him! I loved the fact it was underpinned by gentle messages around building self confidence and managing worries for young boys. It was really special reading it together at bedtime – we cannot wait for Part 2!!
