Óg go Deo – Forever Young

The grief of the death of a beloved pet is often the first time a child experiences the pain a broken heart. The impact of loss is tremendous and more obvious when the loved one is a human. Sometimes I think we may underestimate the profound effect it has on a child, and indeed adults, who lose their pet, their best friend. They have gone over the rainbow bridge’ – and what happens next? Are they lost and all alone? 

I have had these experiences as a child and the loving explanations were not at all either helpful or reassuring. Nothing much has changed.But death is only the beginning of an amazing adventure. So I decided to write a little book to help explain where the pets really go and hope it will take away some of the pain and start to mend broken hearts.
