Rosie the Daisy

@ Meadhbh Chambers

Rosie was a funny name for this flower
For Rosie was not a rose flower
She was a daisy
A daisy others thought lazy

She was planted in the ground
Like all the others
But Rosie felt different
Even to her sisters and brothers

Meadhbh Chambers provides an avenue for adults to approach crucially important conversation with young people about sharing their thoughts, feelings and worries. This book will lead children to naturally refer to themselves and compare themselves to Rosie and equip them with the tools they need to be able to ask for help when needed.

  1. Eileen Moynihan

This is a beautiful book with gorgeous illustrations. It is simply written but like Rosie the daisy it is delicate. The tone is empathetic. Parents and children will gain strength from knowing that you can reach out to others with your emotional needs and that you can be heard. Sharing is caring. This book is a must for any classroom.

Rosie the Daisy is a beautifully written story. The illustrations are simply stunning – if I could live in the visual of a book it would be this one .

A beautiful tool to help children understand their feelings – the perfect early reader for junior classes encountering new, big feelings and challenges everyday.

Meadhbh has done a wonderful job on this beautiful book – fantastic!
