Under the Rainbow: Reminiscences of Skerries
by Hugh Fitzgerald Ryan
Told with great affection for the town and its people, this collection of essays spans over eighty years. Hugh Fitzgerald Ryan writes with a vivid eye for detail and warm humour about his birthplace. He blends personal memories with events in the wider world, writing without rancour or bitterness about the many changes in Irish life as they affected a growing boy, who eventually became a grandfather in a small Irish town.
