Chris Lewando

Chris has been an upholsterer, a teacher, an energy assessor, and a long-time PA to high level executives in a multi-national company. She was also PA to Susan George, the actress best known for Straw Dogs. She has a degree in English, an MA in Creative Writing, and has been a tutor for the London School of Journalism for many years. She has been a keen caver and diver, but never at the same time (she’s not suicidal). She earned a paraglider licence in New Zealand, and has ridden motor bikes since she was 16. She lives in  rural west Cork with her husband and a bundle of cats, dogs, and other animals. She and her husband play Irish trad music. Cutting her teeth on mainstream genre (Virgin  Imprints), writing with a broader brush finally led to the birth of Legend of the Selkie, a more literary concept. She had a short fiction series published in the Cork Echo, and short stories published in the UCC and UCD literary magazines.
