A history in verse of the impact of the Border on ten Irish communities that have straddled an unwanted frontier imposed in 1921 as a ‘temporary’ measure. This is an ‘up close and personal’ account of a century of division, violence, enforced political alienation, alongside abiding social support and contact in communities on the cusp of two states. From Carlingford Lough to Lough Foyle, the narrative follows the meandering tale of Border people who remain closely united in grief and joy. With almost 150 end-notes, Border 1921-2021 also provides an incomparable history of partition in Ireland.

Frank Rafferty –
An excellent and informative history of the border between North and South and it’s in verse. Absolutely wonderful
Jerry Love –
In depth and exhaustive examination of the Irish border after partition. You will not find a better book on this subject. In turn tragic and comical this book lays bare the machinations of both governments in the founding of the border.
