There are some books you can benefit from and dip into throughout your career, this is one of them. It is clear, practical and concise. This is not only a book to guide people in their first job but it is also a book that would be helpful in creating a successful first business. In every page I found something that I had to learn through experience. Each of my working children has a copy for their back pocket. Its an excellent guide.

It is an interesting read – I noticed all my mistakes – some still happening! I gave the Book to my youngest Son who is in his second year in a large organisation. He found it very informative and helped him with his Year Review and Salary Negotiations. He has lent it on to others who he graduated with. Well done Colman – Many Thanks

An excellent practical guide to the young graduate or those at the beginning of their careers on how to succeed in their first job. Of particular importance, I think, are the sections on being self motivated, learning to read your boss, dealing effectively with people who constantly complain and moan and finding a mentor or coach within the organisation.
