They have money, and the support of corrupt local officials but the businesses decide to fight back.
When a hated estate agent is found dead in the local café, the gardaí arrest the owner, Dan. Mrs. O’Brien is sure there’s more to the story – and with the help of her protégé Michael, madcap teen Mai and the Super Ukers Ukulele group, she sets out to clear his name.
But who can she trust and who is On the Fiddle?

Critical Mick –
Author of the Caroline Jordan series about a Public Relations insider whose job exposes her to crimes in desperate need of exposing, Geraldine Moorkens Byrne (as she is known in print) has turned her hand to composing a clever cozy mystery with equally as much character and charm.
Music shop owner Mrs Teresa O’Brien and her band of friends, neighbors and customers kept me company throughout a recent trip abroad. Though I like my crime fiction spiced pretty high, I must applaud that OTF has humor, excellent twists and development. Most cozies center around obedient children and spirited pets. The initial, obvious scoundrel is outed as a true villain so that readers are safe from ever learning something new. Byrne’s slim novel is streets apart. This is a gentle, enjoyable portrait of a friendly corner of old Dublin that is in danger of being lost to development. Take a visit off the beaten track there and see if you don’t find it timely and endearing.
