The Animal in Amy series (Book 1 and 2)
The Animal in Amy (book 1)
‘The Animal in Amy’ is a hilarious adventure, following our resident animal expert Amy Cupples, 11, as she attempts to solve the mystery of missing children, all the while coming to grips with her own set of newly emerging ‘super’ powers.
Did you know that a cheetah can run over 65 miles per hour?
And dung beetles can move objects one thousand times their own body weight?
How about the fact that a crocodile icefish is virtually invisible?
Well Amy knows these facts. Not only that but recently she has found herself possessing the same abilities!
What would you do with such powers? Impress your friends? Teach bullies a lesson? Or try to solve the mystery of missing schoolchildren? How about all three?
The Animal in Amy’s Mirror (book 2)
A terrifyingly good adventure filled with magic, mystery and laugh-out-loud moments.
Grandad is often guilty of blurring the lines between fiction and reality. But as he spun Amy around and placed a trembling hand on her shoulder, he was serious and straight-faced. He stared intensely and, without blinking, whispered,
“I’ve seen things that you can’t imagine, things that cannot be unseen.”
“What have you seen?” she gulped.
“Beasts, my love, there’s a world in The Reflection filled with beasts!”
Amy is not your typical eleven-year-old girl. She possesses animal abilities, night vision, strength, speed, and invisibility. And she will need all of them, and her best friend, Jamie if she is to solve the latest mystery and succeed in a world within the mirrors.

Seller BioSold by: Joe Richardson
Hello everyone, I’m Joe Richardson. I live just outside Belfast with my wife, baby son and miniature schnauzer.
I’ve been teaching in primary schools now for over a decade. It has been the children who have inspired and motivated me to write my novels. I love the enthusiasm the children display when a book sparks their imagination and grabs their interest. I am forever chatting with my pupils about their current reads, and I was eager that someday it would be my own book we’d be discussing. And so here we are.
It has taken over four years, countless rewrites and endless edits before I was happy to push for publishing. The reviews from the readers have made it all worthwhile. I hope you enjoy it too!
The best writing advice I have received:‘To become a great writer, begin by becoming a great reader.’
