The wry wit and sharp observations present in Osborne’s storytelling evoke the same brilliance that has made Roddy Doyle a beloved figure in Irish literature.

  4. Olive Field

Patrick Osborne writes in an authentic Dublin voice which is always a joy to read. The protagonist is a chancer with a good heart who takes us on his naive quest to save himself from his miserable circumstance.
As the story unfolds we meet the characters who ultimately save Patrick from himself.
This was the perfect holiday read for me.
