Brian Stanton… Dog Trainer … BSc PGCE

Forty or so years ago, as a teenager growing up on the beautiful Southwest coast of Ireland, I became an avid reader of ‘anything dog.’ Training my own dogs at home using positive training strategies it became clear how important it is to ‘think dog’ by understanding each dog’s nature and appreciating their perspective. This is at the heart of everything.

Now, as well as running obedience and socialisation training courses and ‘fun’ (non-competitive) Agility groups, I also help people and their dogs on a 1:1 basis. I work closely with several dog rescue centres and am an assessor for a charity devoted to community-based Animal Assisted Therapy. I have four dogs living at home—a Belgian Malinois, a Rottweiler and two working Labradors … all four help greatly as ‘demo dogs’ in group obedience sessions and are invaluable when working with other dogs in a 1:1 setting.

My mission is for you to get the most out of your relationship with your dog and vice versa. Let’s explore the Colours of the Mind together!
