Nita Ní Giolla Phóil

Nita Ní Gíolla Phóil is from Portarlington, working as a Home Carer for many years before taking up a full-time career in Child Care over 10 years ago.

What inspired me to write the book?

As a child I used to play all the time in the local woodlands and these happy child-hood memories have last a lifetime.  As the years have passed I now go walking in Derryounce Lakes & Trails and also in Emo Park and woodlands along with my best friend, Ninja my four legged companion. It is during my walks with my best friend, where I stop and look at the forest animals and birds, as they go about their daily business.
